Description

The ALPHA OPTICS PVS-14 multi-purpose night vision monocular is an outstanding choice for professional night vision applications. Its design is lightweight and tough with superb optics. The device is a complete unit, including an image intensifier tube, a protective and generally water-resistant housing, compatible with different types of mounting systems. A built-in IR illuminator makes it possible to use the unit in low light or total darkness. LED lights indicate low battery and show the user that the IR illuminator is on.

Equipped with manual gain control the device enables an operator to manually adjust image brightness to adapt to current ambient light conditions. This feature becomes particularly useful in areas with frequently changing ambient lighting, for example in urban environment. The ability to control output image brightness helps reduce or eliminate the “night blindness effect”. When co-aligned with a red-dot type sight on a Picatinny rail the device becomes an integral part of a formidable night vision weapons sighting system.

The most versatile night vision system on the market, it can be handheld, or head/helmet-mounted for hands-free use, or attached to a camera or camcorder for nighttime photography.
